You can create floating timelines that appear on spreadsheets only when numbers are present. Notice the example in Figure 11.7. The formula =If(isnumber(U9),U$4,"") says, “If there is a number in cell U9 then return the value displayed in U4.” U4 is the master timeline for the Gantt chart. This example shows the output of frames of animation over weeks. By applying the floating timeline, you can create referencing to dates without having to realign to a single timeline.
