Chapter 4. Working with Text in FrontPage > Inserting and Modifying Text

Inserting and Modifying Text

Working with text in FrontPage is similar to working with text in any word processor, particularly Microsoft Word. Many of the text commands and features that you find in Word are also available in FrontPage (for more about working with text in Word, see Lesson 3, "Editing Documents," in the Word part of this book).

If you create your Web pages using a wizard, or if you create a new page using a template, you will see placeholder text on the pages or page. A great deal of the text work you do in FrontPage is replacing placeholder text with your own text. When you replace placeholder text with your own text, the formatting (font, text size, color, and so on) that was present on the placeholder text is also applied to the text you enter.
