Chapter 1. Working in Access > Introducing Access Objects

Introducing Access Objects

The table is just one type of object found in Access. You can also work with forms, queries, and reports.

  • A form is used to enter, edit, and view data in a table, one record at a time.

  • A query enables you to ask your database questions. The answer to the query can be used to manipulate data in a table, such as deleting records or viewing the data in a table that meets only certain criteria.

  • A report enables you to summarize database information in a format that is suitable for printing.
