Chapter 12. Using the Calendar > Inserting an Object

Inserting an Object

Outlook has the capability to insert an object, such as an Excel workbook or a file from any other Office application, into any Outlook item such as an appointment. For example, you might have an appointment to discuss some tax issues with your accountant and you have an Excel worksheet that details some of the information you want to go over. You can insert the Excel workbook right into the appointment. This makes it easy for you to view the data before you attend your appointment or even print the information.

You can insert an existing object into an appointment, or you can create an object within a message using the source application. For example, you could place an existing Excel workbook in an existing appointment.
