Chapter 8. Using Office Web Integration ... > Adding an FTP Site to Your Save In B...

Adding an FTP Site to Your Save In Box

After you save an Office document as a Web page or create a Web page using Microsoft Word (discussed in Lesson 21, "Creating Web Pages in Word," in Part III of this book), you may need to load that file onto a Web server. Although FrontPage makes it very easy to publish Web sites to the Internet (which is discussed in Lesson 8 in Part VII of this book), you can save the Web pages that you create in the other Office applications directly to a Web server that also functions as an FTP site.

New Term

FTP An FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site is a special computer connected to the Internet (or intranet) that handles only file transfers (file uploads and downloads).
