Deleting Temporary Files and the History

Internet Explorer enables you to control many configuration settings that are related to how Internet Explorer actually operates. All these configuration settings are handled in the Internet Options dialog box, which is the subject of this lesson.

When you work with Internet Explorer, you will find that it accumulates temporary files and offline content that take up space on your computer's hard drive. Internet Explorer also keeps a history of the sites that you visit. The history can be used to access Web sites that you've recently visited (see the "Using the History to Access Visited Web Sites" tip).
