Setting Up the Newsreader

You can access newsgroups from the Internet Explorer window by starting the Outlook Express Newsreader (it is one of the components that is installed when you download and install Internet Explorer). To use Outlook Express as a newsreader, follow these steps:

  1. In the Internet Explorer window, click the Mail menu, and then click Read News. The Outlook Express Newsreader opens.

  2. The first time you use the Outlook Express Newsreader, you are asked to subscribe to newsgroups that are supplied by your Internet service provider. Click Yes to view a list of available newsgroups.
