Chapter 7. Viewing Your Schedule > Working with the Calendar View

Working with the Calendar View

You will often find it useful to display your project on the familiar monthly calendar background. After creating a project file using the other views provided by Microsoft Project, it can be very helpful to distribute reports showing all tasks or selected tasks in the calendar format. Although it isn't the best view for designing and creating lengthy or complex projects, you can use the Calendar view to create simple, short-duration projects.

Understanding the Calendar View

Display the Calendar view by clicking the Calendar button on the View bar or by choosing View, Calendar. The standard Calendar view appears (see Figure 7.24). You should note that the Calendar view cannot be displayed in the bottom pane of a split screen view.
