Project 2000 Adopting Project 98 Views

Microsoft Project 2000 replaced the PERT Chart with the Network Diagram. However, when I open my project file, which was originally created in Microsoft Project 98, I show the PERT Chart as an available view on the View bar, as well as in the View menu. Why is this view being listed when it should no longer be there?

When working with a project file that was created in a previous version of Microsoft Project, any view, such as the PERT Chart, that had been even slightly changed while that file was open, will display as an available view when you bring that file into Microsoft Project 2000. This is because the Show in Menu option is checked for that view in Microsoft Project 98.
