Closing—Completing the Close-out

" Hindsight is an exact science. " Guy Bellamy, American journalist and writer

Formal acceptance of the project or phase and bringing it to an orderly end is the process of closing. To complete the close out of a project, there must be consideration to three administrative components, including any performance measurement documentation, documentation of the product of the project, and any other project records. By using various performance reporting tools and techniques, the closing of a project will include project records for archive, formal acceptance of the project, and lessons learned for any future projects to be performed.
