Exploring the Microsoft Project Window

After you've moved past the Help window, you see the Microsoft Project title bar at the top of the screen, along with the menu bar, two toolbars, and the Entry bar. In the center of the screen is an area used to display the data in your project, called the view. The term view refers to the way the project data appears. On the left side of the screen is the View bar (first introduced in Project 98). The View bar enables you to quickly switch between views and helps identify which view you currently have displayed. The status bar is visible at the bottom of the screen. Figure 2.3 shows a project displayed in the Gantt Chart view.
