Starting and Exiting Microsoft Project

You are undoubtedly anxious to build your first project (or work on one you have inherited). However, to get the most productivity out of Microsoft Project, you need to become familiar with initiating the program and all the screen elements you'll be working with.

When Microsoft Project is installed on a machine that uses Windows, the Setup program places Microsoft Project on the Start menu, under Programs. To start Microsoft Project, choose Start, Programs, Microsoft Project (see Figure 2.1).
