The Visual Basic Editor

By default the Visual Basic Editor (VBE) has four screen areas. All these areas can be closed to free up more room for the other windows. By choosing Tools, Options and then the Docking tab, you can uncheck the different windows so that they can float around or be arranged in any way you like. However, leaving them docked is usually the most useful way because it automatically gives the windows that need it (especially the code window) the most space (see Figure 27.2).

The Project Explorer

This area is similar in look to Windows Explorer, but instead of seeing folders you will see Project objects and modules. To display the Project Explorer, choose View, Project Explorer (Ctrl+R).
