The ProjectBeforeTaskDelete Event

This section shows you how to develop code that runs when a task is deleted. The process is more involved, but provided all steps are carried out in sequence, you will find it reliable. What this event does is ensure that, when you press the Delete key to delete any task in your project file, the code in this event will be run first. The code can cancel the event and therefore the delete. At last, accidentally pressing the Delete key need no longer remove a day's work!

A task is only part of a project and is therefore not a project-level event created as the Project_Open event is. Follow the instructions below to create the ProjectBeforeTaskDelete event. Be sure not to miss anything or change the sequence.
