Chapter 28. Developing Visual Basic Macros > The TaskSummaryName Macro

The TaskSummaryName Macro

This macro will expose you to loops, objects, properties, and variables. As already suggested, loops are one of the most common things you will need to code into your macros. Objects are the things you will be controlling and changing. Examples of objects are projects , tasks, resources, assignments, and so on.

Properties belong to objects and help describe them. Properties can be changed and then affect how you see the object. For example, a Task object has a name property. Change the name property, and the text in the Gantt Chart changes to reflect the change to its name property.
