Chapter 5. Creating a Task List > Using Other Views to Enter Tasks

Using Other Views to Enter Tasks

Although the Gantt Chart is the most efficient view in Microsoft Project for creating a task list, some people prefer other views. Many people who were trained in engineering were taught to create the task list in the Network Diagram. Others like to split the screen and add the Task Form or Task Details Form to the Gantt Chart to facilitate adding resources and task linking as they enter the tasks. Instructions for using the other fields in these views are given in later chapters.

Note

If you enter or change a task name in any view, all other views that display the task name show the results of your entry. The views are just alternative ways of displaying the same information.
