Finding Information in the Registry

If you know the path to the subkey you want to see, you can drill down into the registry by expanding the appropriate tree, expanding a key, and successively expanding subkeys. If you don't know the path, you can use the Registry Editor's Find capability.

Using the Find capability, you can search the registry for the names of keys and subkeys, names of values, or actual values. You can search the entire registry, or a key and the subkeys below that key.
