Examining the Registry

The Registry Editor utility (Regedit.exe) is automatically installed on your computer when you install Windows. You can use this utility to examine and, if necessary, make changes to the registry.

To open Regedit, choose Start on the Windows Taskbar, then choose Run in the Start menu to display the dialog box shown in Figure F.1.
