Chapter 28. Working Remotely > Working Remotely in an Exchange Environment

Working Remotely in an Exchange Environment

The scenario considered here is that of a corporate environment in which desktop computers use a LAN on which Exchange Server is used as an e-mail system. People use C/W Outlook on their computers as clients for Exchange. In order to take advantage of the collaboration facilities available in Exchange, people save their Outlook items in the Exchange store.

People who work away from the office use laptop computers on which C/W Outlook is installed and use an Offline Folders file to save Outlook items while the computers aren't connected to the server.
