What Are Notes?

Think of Notes in Outlook as the computer equivalent of the sticky yellow paper notes decorating your computer monitor and desk in your office, and your refrigerator door at home.

You can use Outlook's Notes to jot down reminders, ideas, phone numbers, and suggestions—all those pieces of information you mustn't forget, but can't immediately take the time to file in their proper places. Later, you can review your notes, act on them, or move the information they contain into appropriate Outlook folders or other folders on your computer.
