Outlook as a Sharing Tool

You can use Outlook as a means of keeping your personal information organized and, if you have IMO or C/W Outlook installed, as a means of sharing information with other people. Using e-mail to send and receive messages is, of course, the most obvious way you can share information. In addition, you can use Outlook to share information contained in your Outlook folders.

If you use Outlook to connect to the Internet, you can make your Outlook folders available to be shared by specific people as Net Folders. The people with whom you share those folders see those folders the same as they see their own. This chapter describes how to use Net Folders. The primary purpose of Net Folders is to share Outlook folders by way of the Internet, which you can do with IMO Outlook and also with C/W Outlook if you have an Internet Information Service in your profile. In addition, you can share Net Folders by way of Microsoft Mail.
