Troubleshooting

With the exception of setting up a Microsoft Mail postoffice on a computer running Windows 98, the information in this chapter is quite straightforward and is unlikely to cause significant problems.

After you've successfully set up a Microsoft Mail postoffice, you shouldn't experience many problems. One thing to watch out for, though, is that there's enough space on the disk used by the postoffice. The postoffice saves mail until the last person to whom the mail was addressed downloads it. If users send mail with large attachments and the people to whom that mail is addressed don't download that mail, the disk space occupied by the postoffice can grow rapidly. If the disk used by the postoffice runs out of space, Microsoft Mail won't work for anybody.
