Receiving a Fax

If you're using a dedicated phone line for your fax modem and are prepared to leave your computer turned on with Outlook running (probably in the background) you can use Microsoft Fax to receive incoming faxes. Two of the benefits of doing this are

  • You can subsequently use your computer printer to print faxes—much better than using the thermal printer in many fax machines.

  • You can preview faxes and only print those you need to have as hard copy, thus reducing your use of expensive thermal paper.
