Troubleshooting

As explained earlier in this chapter, you can set up the Journal so that it records file activities associated with some Office and Office-compatible applications. You do this by checking application names in the Journal Options dialog box's Also Record Files From section.

Normally, when you install Office 2000, all the principal Office applications are available to be checked. If you install Office-compatible applications, such as Microsoft's Project and Team Manager, after you've installed Outlook, the names of these applications should automatically be added to the list in the Outlook Options dialog box. If that doesn't happen, try the method suggested earlier in this chapter for adding applications to the list.
