Troubleshooting

One of the troubles you may experience is that Windows and Windows applications on your computer may be somewhat, or very, different from what's described in this chapter. That's because Windows and many Windows applications are highly customizable. If you inherit a computer on which Outlook is already installed, you may find that Outlook looks quite different from the descriptions in this chapter.

Also, if you install Outlook on a computer that has previously had Outlook installed, what you see might be quite different from what you see in this book. That's because the Office 2000 installation procedure attempts to install Outlook (and other Office applications) in a manner that's as similar as possible to any previous installation.
