Chapter 40. Creating and Using Custom Forms > Customizing the Contact Form

Customizing the Contact Form

As an example, I will step you through the creation of a custom Contact form that will be used to store a Christmas card and gift list, using some of the fields created in Chapter 41. Start by creating a new Contact form, then switch to design view. The General page on the Contact form is editable, so start by deleting the e-mail and Web site controls and graphics, which aren't needed for this type of list. To delete a control, just click it and press the Delete button.

Adding Controls to a Form

Tip

If you don't need any of the built-in controls on a form page that is normally displayed, you can hide that page by pulling down the Form menu and clicking the Display This Page command (the check mark will disappear). To make one of the extra pages (P.2 to P.6) visible, pull down the Form menu and click the Display This Page command to check it, so the page will be visible.
