Creating a New or Modified Form Based on a Built-in Outlook Form

The first step in creating a custom form is to decide which of the built-in Outlook forms you will use as the template (page 520) for the form. (The available forms are listed in Table 40.1.) If the form you are designing doesn't really look like any of the standard forms, check the available built-in fields for each form to see which form type has the most useful collection of fields for your purposes.

Note

Even if you create a form based on the Standard Default form, it is still based on one of the standard forms—the Mail Message form, message class IPM.Note.
