Creating a New or Modified Form Based on a Built-in Outlook Form

When you create an Outlook form, you can't start with a blank form, as in Access. Every custom form must be based on one of the standard forms, so the first step in creating a custom form is to select one of the standard form types, either from the drop-down list shown in Figure 40.1 or from the list of forms on the New submenu, or by selecting the form from the Standard Forms Library. Normally, one of the first two options is preferable because these choices are more convenient. However, if you need to create a new Post form, you may need to use the longer route to select that form from the Standard Forms Library, as it is not always available from the other lists.

To select a form from the New submenu or the Standard Forms Library, implement the following steps:
