Adding a Custom Field to a View

I made a Christmas Gift List custom Contact form using the two preceding custom fields and one other field (Gift), bound to a combo box. The Christmas List page of this form displays the Couple Name combination field, the Days to Christmas formula field, and the Preferred Gift text field, as shown in Figure 41.17.

A combo box control (page 1041) allows the user to select one of several items from a drop-down list, or type in a value. In Outlook, you can either type the list choices into the control's properties sheet, or fill the list from code, using an array (a fairly advanced programming technique). You don't have the option of filling a combo box from a table of data, as in Access. To create a combo box for selecting gifts, follow the steps below:
