Adding a Custom Field to an Outlook Form

You can also create a custom field on-the-fly, from a control's properties sheet (say after looking for a suitable built-in field and not finding one). The following steps describe this method of creating a custom field.

  1. In Design view, select the tab where you want to place the control.

  2. Click a tool on the Toolbox, then click on the form to insert a control of your choice on the form.

  3. Right-click the control and select the Properties command to open the control's properties sheet to the Value page.

  4. Click the New button to open the New Field dialog box.

  5. From that point on, follow steps 3 through 6 in the preceding list to create the custom field.
