Chapter 8. Accessing the Internet > Participating in Newsgroups

Participating in Newsgroups

You can easily participate in Internet newsgroups from within Outlook. Outlook uses Outlook Express, a component of Internet Explorer, to provide access to newsgroups.

Tip

Outlook Express, a component of Internet Explorer, which, in turn, is a component of Windows, provides capabilities to send and receive Internet e-mail and to participate in Internet Newsgroups. If you're using Outlook, you should be using that to send and receive all your e-mail so all your messages are saved in one place. This chapter deals only with using Outlook Express to participate in newsgroups.
