Project: Sending Entirely Different Letters in a Single Mail Merge

Earlier in this chapter, you learned how to customize individual blocks of text in a mailing by including merge fields, including the If merge field. But what if you would like to create a mailing that sends several entirely different letters, depending on the contents of each data record? In this project, you'll walk through doing this.

Here's the scenario for this project: You want to send a "Keeping in Touch" letter to all your clients, but each salesperson wants to write his or her own letter. You have an Access database as a data source, and it includes a field named Salesperson, which contains the name of the salesperson.
