Resolving Proposed Changes

No matter how you get change marks into your document, the real beauty of Word's Track Changes feature comes later, when you see how easy it is to resolve the changes your reviewers have proposed.

Proposed changes can be resolved in three ways: using the Reviewing toolbar (choose View, Toolbars, and check the item marked Reviewing), using the Accept or Reject Changes dialog box (choose Tools, Track Changes, Accept or Reject Changes; see Figure 24.14), or by right-clicking on the change and choosing the appropriate option from the context dialog box. In general, the context box is limited but fast; the Reviewing toolbar is quick and has more options; and the dialog box gives you the most choices of all—and more information.
