Troubleshooting

What to Do If You get a File not Found Error

Q1:I built and tested a hyperlink a while ago and it worked fine. Now when I click on it, I get aFile not Found (404)error. What does this mean?
A1: It means that the page you linked to has been deleted or renamed. You will need to edit your link to point to the same material if you can find it elsewhere or remove the link.

What to Do If Your Hyperlink Does Not Load

Q1:I built a hyperlink but it doesn't load the page. I've checked the filename and path for the link; both are OK. What's wrong?
A1: This is probably a case problem. Most Web servers are very sensitive to the case of the filename. Webpage.html, WebPage.html, webpage.html, and WEBPAGE.html are four different files to a UNIX system. Make sure the case in the hyperlink exactly matches the filename on your Web server.
