Designing Pages

When you first launch Publisher, you are presented with the Microsoft Publisher Catalog window where you'll either select the template you want to use or click Exit Catalog to design a publication from scratch. The wizards offered under the three tabs—Publications by Wizard, Publications by Design, and Blank Publications—are all self-explanatory.

If you close the Microsoft Publisher Catalog by clicking the Close (X) button in the title bar, you can define your own page layout and design your own publication from scratch. This leaves you with a blank screen displaying the default page setup, an 8 1/2-×11-inch sheet of paper, as shown in Figure 46.3.
