Creating Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks provide the interactive power for your Web documents. You can link to other documents or resources, to other Web sites, to resources within your own Web site, and even to locations within documents (known as bookmarks). Links do not always have to connect to other documents—you can link to interactive database queries, Zip files, images, videos, sound files, or even executable programs on the server that return HTML responses.

Creating Links to Other Pages Within Your Web

To create a link within your Web document to another page within your Web, select the text that will form your link and click the Hyperlink toolbar button. The Create Hyperlink dialog box appears, as shown in Figure 49.18.
