Chapter 49. Developing Web Sites > Introduction to HTML

Introduction to HTML

When you get right down to it, FrontPage's entire reason for existence is to generate HTML, the code that sits behind every Web page. How well FrontPage succeeds or fails depends, in no small part, on how well it renders your wants in old-fashioned HTML tags—and how well FrontPage keeps its mitts off HTML that you have generated either by hand or by using other tools.

Note

FrontPage 2000 supports version 2 of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), which adds the capability to perform absolute positioning of elements on a page. You will also find new Dynamic HTML features that add interactive elements to your pages.
