Secrets of the Office Masters: Custom Dialog Boxes in VBA

Custom dialog boxes in VBA can successfully mimic any dialog boxes you've ever seen in Windows.

In the Three Dog Wizard dialog box in this figure, you see the familiar Help, Cancel, Back, Next, and OK pushbuttons that are common to Office (and many other Microsoft products). There's nothing particularly magical about them—you can draw them yourself, or steal them from, for example, the macros9.dot file on the Windows 2000 installation CD. (Although you wouldn't want to steal a copyrighted picture or duplicate a copyrighted program, dialog box layouts are fair game.)
