Using Range Names to Speed Formatting

Imagine that your workbook or worksheet contains many named ranges, and that several of those named ranges contain similar information. Perhaps you've named each of your individual months' sales totals or you've named each cell that contains summary information from your company's divisions.

These cells that contain similar information are likely to be formatted similarly as well, and Excel makes it easy to select these like ranges and apply formats to them all at once. To make a multiple-range selection, follow these steps:
