Chapter 12. Working with Named Ranges > Pasting a List of Named Ranges

Pasting a List of Named Ranges

You've named your ranges and used them in formulas, and they're a big part of your daily use of your worksheets. You use them to find cells, to quickly go to remote cells in your more complex worksheets. What more can named ranges do for you? If you'll be submitting the worksheet to other people in the form of a printout rather than an electronic file, the printout can be enhanced by including a list of your named ranges that shows the names and the cell addresses they represent.

In addition to helping others interpret your worksheet, appending your worksheet with a list of the named ranges used in that sheet can help you set up subsequent sheets that will be based on your current worksheet. That list of named ranges can save you from reinventing the wheel.
