You can use PivotTables to summarize and control quantities by dates. Figure 20.69 shows a date-controlled PivotTable with dates grouped by weeks. In Figure 20.70, the PivotTable summarizes monthly quantities by using a conditional sum formula as shown in the Formula bar. The formula references the month cell and the date range, then sums the specified column. In this example, the column is C or BLACK. By typing a different month number in cell I20, you can make the formula sum the quantities only for that month.
