Excel in Practice

You can combine formulas with other Excel features to make your worksheets do more work for you. For example, if you have a large table of numbers like the one in Figure 11.39, and you want to highlight the minimum and maximum values, you can write MIN and MAX formulas. Then combine them with conditional formatting, so that you can instantly see where the minimum and maximum values lie in the table. When the numbers in the table change, both the formulas and the conditional formatting continue to calculate and display the values you want to see.
