Enhancing Charts with Drawing Objects

Adding drawing objects (generally called shapes) to a chart enables you to provide additional visual interest and clarify data within the chart. Figure 15.26 shows how you can effectively use some of the drawing tools in a chart. In this example, I've added the season across the charted time and applied the fiscal quarter names between the X-axis and its labels.
