Excel in Practice

For presentation purposes, you can use Excel's auditing features to draw lines tracing references in your worksheet and then print the worksheet. The lines are printed along with the worksheet data, helping point out the connection between important data. Simply select the cell containing the formula to which you want to show the relationship of references; then display the Auditing toolbar (click Tools, Auditing, Show Auditing Toolbar). Use the Trace Precedents button to display tracing arrows. If any of the arrows obscure the view of data, enlarge the size of the row, as shown in Figure 10.22.
