To write a book as complete and in depth as Que's Special Edition Using Microsoft Excel 2000 takes a team of talented and dedicated individuals. I personally would like to take this opportunity to recognize each one of them for their valued contributions. Jamie Milazzo, your positive attitude, ability to recognize talent, and remarkable ability to pull things together and make it happen when it counts is a talent few possess and even fewer do well. Robin Drake, what a pleasure it's been working with you. You're a teacher and mentor in every sense of the word. Jill Bond, thank you for the countless corrections and professionalism throughout the process. In addition, I would like to thank Kyle Bryant and Robert Rosenberg for their technical contributions and expertise. Ken Cook, Tim Dyck, Jim Grey, Julia Kelly, Sherry Kinkoph, and Joyce Nielsen, thank you for the added value you brought to this book with your knowledge and experience. And finally, I would also like to thank the executives at Que: Angie Wethington, Jim Minatel, and John Pierce. Thank you for the opportunity and support.

I'd like to thank our acquisitions editor, Jamie Milazzo, for giving me the opportunity to work on this book. It's been a great opportunity from a professional standpoint, and the scope and intricacies of the project have been very educational. A tremendous "thank you" must also go to Robin Drake, our development editor in this project. Her insightful edits whipped us all into shape, and I'm grateful for her years of experience and her straightforward personal style. On a personal note, I'd like to thank all of my Excel students, without whom writing my portions of this book would have been difficult. As a teacher, I learn every day from the needs and interests of my students, and I applied many of their teachings to my chapters.
