Lesson 21. Using the Favorites Database > What is the Favorites Database?

What is the Favorites Database?

In addition to your mail database, your Personal Address Book, and the Public Address Book, Lotus Notes adds three databases when you install it—a Personal Journal database, a Personal Web Navigator database, and the Favorites database, which is based upon the portfolio template.

A portfolio template enables a collection of database and view pointers to be contained within one database, acting as a map to your favorites. For example, instead of having to return to the workspace from your mail database to open your Personal Address Book, the portfolio database contains buttons that you can use to navigate between the two databases.
