Notes enables you to control how and when it delivers your mail messages. You can choose delivery options to request a delivery report or to set a priority level for your mail, for example. You must set delivery options, described in Table 8.1, before you send your mail message.
Table 8.1. Delivery Options
Option
Description
Importance
Choices: Normal, High, or Low. Places an exclamation mark icon in the Inbox margin of the message marked High. Otherwise, no icon appears.
Mood stamp
Provides additional messages you can add to your memo. Select a mood, and Notes adds a graphic and/or text (such as "Thank You," "Good Job," "FYI," or "Joke") to your memo.
Delivery report
Tells Notes to place a report in your mailbox that indicates how the delivery of your message went. You can have Notes confirm the delivery, trace the path of the delivery, report only on failure of the delivery, or not report at all. Tracing the path of a mail message is normally reserved for troubleshooting, and you will not need to use it unless instructed by your system administrator.
Delivery priority
Marks the message as Normal, High, or Low priority. Priority can govern how quickly the mail is delivered. For example, if you send a Notes message to a recipient on the same Domino server, it is not necessary to choose a priority. Normal priority delivers it immediately. If you send a Notes message to a different Domino server, High priority causes your Domino server to deliver it immediately, instead of at the scheduled delivery set by your systems administrator. Low priority means the mail will be delivered in the middle of the night, during off-business hours.
Sign
Adds a unique code to your message that identifies you as the sender.
Encrypt
Encodes the message so that no one but the intended recipient can read it.
Return receipt
Places a receipt in your mailbox that tells you the time and date the recipient received the message in his mailbox.
Prevent copying
Prevents the recipient from copying or printing your message. Use this if the information is highly confidential.
