Link Hotspots

Instead of placing an icon in your document, you can highlight text and make that a hotspot so that it appears much like Hypertext links on the Web. When you're creating your mail memo, you switch to the database, view, or document to which you want to link and create the link by using the Edit, Copy as Link commands. When you return to your mail memo, select the text you want to make the hotspot and choose Create, Hotspot, Hotspot Link from the menu. The recipient can point and click that hotspot to open the database, view, or document to which you linked.

In this lesson, you learned how to create document links and how to follow the path of a mail reply by using document links. You also learned how to create text pop-ups. In the next lesson, you will learn how to create stationery and choose letterhead.
