An Introduction to the VBA Language

Once you have declared a Sub procedure, you can begin entering the code that tells VBA what you want your macro to do. The code that you enter must follow the rules of the VBA language. These rules are known as the syntax of the language. The syntax defines how you can combine the different elements of the language into expressions and statements that VBA can execute.

How to Enter VBA Code

VBA is pretty flexible in allowing you to enter code in a variety of layouts. In some cases, VBA will even correct your code to make it follow its syntax rules. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
