Creating Macros in the Visual Basic Editor

While recording macros is often convenient, you will probably find that sometimes it's just simpler to go ahead and type the code for a new macro yourself. As you learn more about the VBA language, you will find that many VBA methods can't be recorded at all. In other cases, while a recorded sequence works properly, there may be a more efficient or more flexible way to accomplish your goals by typing your own code.

Because VBA macros are created as Sub procedures, typing a new macro means you'll have to create a new Sub procedure. There are a few ways you can do this:
